About
Inspired by pop culture, a love of food, and a touch of absurdity, Humdrum Paper is here to make you laugh, roll your eyes, or crack a sly smirk. Whether it’s wordplay or a banana peeking out of your book, we’re here for the entertainment, folks.
Since its inception in 2016, Humdrum had been all about greeting cards. Early on, our cards found their way onto the shelves of Urban Outfitters and West Elm. In 2021, I took a chance on an underserved category—bookmarks. Our die-cut, everyday object bookmarks took off and continue to grow rapidly. One of my favorite Buyer quotes over the years is, “I don’t like bookmarks, but I LOVE these.” Connecting with book lovers has fueled Humdrum’s journey post-pandemic. Our product line also includes notepads, stickers and totes.
All Humdrum’s paper products are printed and produced locally in Florida using environmentally friendly UV inks. Our screen printer is based in St. Pete, and our clear bookmarks are printed in California.
All orders ship from Tampa, FL either from our home office or a local warehouse.
We're small - a team of six.
Brittany Meronek - Owner / Draw-er / Communication
In a past life, I worked as an art director at a Tampa advertising agency, Dunn&Co., where I learned to think strategically, build brands, and make quick decisions. Humdrum started when I was pregnant with my second kid and needed a creative outlet. What began as a side project at local markets (thank you Indie Flea!) has since grown into a full-blown company with products in shops all over the world.
If I’m not in the office drawing or wrestling with simple math, I can be found in the garden at my kid’s school or chasing impractical travel plans with a book in hand. Growing up in New York, I forever hesitate to call myself a Floridian.
I’m always committed to the joke and often over-invested in the joke. This level of commitment to absurd projects dates back to tumblr days when I had a blog, Rappers and Cereal — that inspired Snoop Dog’s cereal. Google it if you’re bored.
Rob Meronek - Operations/Logistics
Rob works in the skateboarding industry, but he’s also part robot—handling accounting and logistics in his sleep. He keeps the business running smoothly with his custom-built software, and our ability to scale is all thanks to him. He also named the company and would like to receive high fives for that... forever.
Sydney Meyers - Fulfillment and Inventory Lead
A friend to all animals, Sydney is the one packing your orders and maintaining organization in our inventory. She moves swiftly and gracefully from package to package, often laughing at whatever podcast she's listening to. She’s been known to mother a rescue squirrel while working.
